School Experience
Gain school experience within one of our partner schools
We are extremely fortunate to have the support of schools across our region who are keen to welcome in those who wish to gain some school experience prior to applying for teacher training.
If you haven’t been in school before, this is an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in a classroom environment in order to assess whether teaching is the right profession for you. Similarly, you may have had experience in one phase of education and wish to find out more about how a school in a different phase works.
We can offer each candidate one day of experience, initially. You do not need a DBS check to attend as you will be accompanied at all times and there is no charge. In order to be eligible, you should have already graduated from university or be in your final year and have an interest in applying to train to teach with The John Taylor SCITT.
Booking your experience
